What Would Be Available to You?


On a health assessment call with a pre-client, I usually invite them to dream about how life would be different at their healthiest weight…


I ask, “what would be available to you at (whatever goal they’ve told me) that isn’t available to you now?”


Often it’s a physical activity…running easier, hiking with ease, playing with grandkids. Sometimes it’s more inward & unseen - like increased confidence, the ability to wear clothes they like and feel good in or wearing a swimsuit with joy.


As I reflected on our Jamaican adventure with the 41 coaches we took to hike a waterfall, snorkel, and catamaran, I couldn’t help but think that, for most of us, before getting healthy - this adventure would not have been possible. You wouldn’t have found us in bathing suits, attempting such a physical activity, and certainly - not in a group.


I was the girl in jeans NEXT to the pool in the dead heat of summer. Or this girl - in the yoga pants in the pool.


It’s not about a perfect body. Lord knows we don’t have that. It IS about confidence, joy, freedom in your mind & in your physical body. Engaging in the world without limitations.

It WILL require a season of discipline. It WILL be worth it.
